Jetplane Landing - Once Like A Spark

Jetplane Landing - Once Like A Spark

Quite simply fantastic, Jetplane Landing’s Second full length album is defiantly their best. Subtle in parts, bludgeoning in others this phenomenal record is easily one of the finest albums of the genre, and possibly in music.

Standout songs include the brilliant singles ‘I Opt Out,’ and ‘Brave Gravity,’ as well as my personal favourite ‘Writing the Ways Down.’

Of course there are no bad songs here, in fact there aren’t even any bad verses; Once Like A Spark is a flawless album, with amazing and clever lyrics, catchy vocal patterns and excellent guitar riffs. The raw production only serves to improve the album, with every tone being well suited, and the heaviness being powerful without becoming brash.

Personally I listened to this every day or two on the bus ever for a solid two years after it was released, and feel that it is a perfect album and one that is almost impossible to tire from. Defiantly one of my desert island discs, an absolute classic.
Buy now, I honestly can’t recommend it enough.
